Books for Review
2015-10-28
Authorship is seeking reviewers for the following books (reviewers will be supplied with a review copy):John Aubrey, Brief Lives with An Apparatus for the Lives of our English Mathematical Writers (2 vols), edited by Kate Bennett. Oxford University Press, 2015.Please note that this list is updated as new books come in, so check back frequently. Reviews will be included in the review section of upcoming issues of Authorship. If you are interested in reviewing one or more works, please let us know at authorshipjournal[at]gmail.com. Please provide a short biography in your initial message, to be included at the bottom of the review. An indication of why you believe you are an appropriate reviewer for the book(s) (does it tie in to your own research, perhaps) would also be appreciated. There is no set length for book reviews, though we would suggest essays of 1,000 to 2,000 words for reviews that deal with one book only. Review essays, as a rule covering more than one book and taking the space to engage with some of the issues raised by the books, can be substantially longer.
