Copenhagen radiocarbon dates V.
Abstract
This paper includes samples dated in the period 1956-1961. Age calculations are based on a contemporary value equal to 95% of the activity of the NBS oxalic-acid standard, and on a half life for C (super 14) of 5568 + or - 30 yr. Results are expressed in years before 1950; ages in the B. C.-A. D. scales are given in parentheses in the sample descriptions. Errors quoted include the standard deviation of the count rates of the unknown sample, of the contemporary value, and of the background. Calculated errors smaller than 100 yr have been increased by rounding to that figure as a minimum. The 30 samples described are from Denmark, Poland, Alaska, Greenland, Israel, and Polynesia.
