WOCE Pacific Ocean Radiocarbon Program

Abstract

Fieldwork for the World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE) radiocarbon program was recently completed. Ca. 9000 samples were collected for analysis using both conventional 3-counting techniques and the newer AMS technique. The mean uncertainty for the analyses is 3%; for AMS analyses, ca. 4.5%o.
