Cambridge University natural radiocarbon measurements III.

Abstract

The dates and activity measurements given below have been obtained during the year 1960 (excepting only Q-9 held over from the previous year). They have been made with carbon dioxide at 3 atmospheres pressure in a proportional gas-counter similar to that used for the results given in Radiocarbon Supplement, v. 1 and 2 [GeoScience Abstracts 1-1682, 2-2010]. The policy has been maintained of directing assays largely towards particular projects under investigation in the University Sub-dept. of Quaternary Research, and during 1960 particular attention has been given to problems of land-level and sealevel changes of British coastal areas.
