PROTEIN CONCENTRATION IN LYMPH

Abstract

A brief review is given on the problem of protein

concentration in lymph versus protein concentration

in interstitial fluid. The possibility of a concentrating

ability of the lymphatics is discussed in the light of

recent investigations. It is concluded that the final

answer to the problem is not known, but that sub-

stantial evidence indicate that the protein concentra-

tion in lymph and in the interstitial fluid from which

the lymph originate is similar.
