Abstract
Diagnosing congenital lymphatic dysplasiaand counseling the parents of babies withpossible genetic conditions represents adifficult task. This article attempts to providea guide to establishing genetic tools and areference library for use in the diagnosticwork-up of congenital lymphatic diseases. Thetools that are outlined herein are not meantto replace genetic counseling; their role ismerely to facilitate the interaction betweenlymphologist and geneticist. These tools are away of identifying lymphatic dysplasias at avery early stage.
